Cycling for transportation has been on a rise for years now in many cities, but because of COVID-19 and limited capacity in public transportation cities around the World are implementing cycling infrastructure with rapid speed. These initiatives has been supported with other measures like vouchers for bike repair or cycling training. In total 1 billion € has been allocated for cycling in Europe alone due to COVOD19. The result is that cycling is booming. But how do cities that have been planning for cycling for decades plan for cycling? We have asked Marie Kåstrup, from City of Copenhagen in Denmark and Herbert Tiemens from the Dutch city Utrecht to share how and what their cities prioritize when investing in cycling. We will also share how the Ramboll modeling tool Brutus, which has been developed in corporation with Utrecht, can support the decision making process. After this webinar, participants will receive a link to the webinar recording, and some marketing material. Ramboll is committed to uphold high ethical standards and comply with global and local data protection legislations in every country where we operate, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
